2021-22 Drumline Auditions

Auditions for the 2021-22 drumline will be held on April 30th at 3:30pm in the high school band room. To sign up and access the audition music, please complete this form. You will need to use your school account to sign in. For any students that do not currently have a school email account, please contact Mr. Croach or Mr. Johnson for assistance.

You may audition for as many spots on the line as you would like. For bass drum, please play all 4 parts as if they were written in unison. For any students that do not have access to practice equipment, please let Mr. Croach or Mr. Johnson know.

2019 Drumline Auditions

It’s time once again to pull out those heavy-hitter pads and prepare for the next round of drumline auditions! This year’s auditions will take place on May 21st at 3:00pm in the band room. The audition music is as follows:

  • Para-diddle-dise
  • Spartan Funk
  • Possible Sight Reading Piece

Sheet music is available at https://music.spartandrumline.com.

As with any other year, every spot on the line is up for grabs, so practice, practice, practice! You may audition for as many spots as you’d like. For bass drum, try your best to learn all 4 parts.

We also plan to hold audition “camps” the week before auditions, just like last year (more to come on that soon). If you would like one-on-one lesson time, please let Mr. Croach or Mr. Johnson know.

Shenango Make-a-Wish Event

Shenango High School Peer Leadership is hosting their annual Make-a-Wish Event on Saturday, February 23rd at 7pm in the Shenango High School auditorium. The show this year is entitled “Battle of the Schools” and will featuring collaborations between the Shanango and Laurel faculty members.

The Spartan Drumline will also be performing in collaboration with Shenango’s Wildcat Drumline! Come on out and support the faculty and students from both districts as they battle it out for a great cause.

Admission is $7.00 and tickets are available at the Shenango High School office and Laurel Elementary School office starting today. Hope to see you there!
